hardik_vmservices Regular Member Joined: 5/25/2009 Last visit: 7/3/2024 Posts: 32 Rating: (1)	we have a 3 axis / 1 spindle milling machine retrofitted with adi4&802dsl. we have a problem in 30 to 40 micron error circularity in x/y axis. x/y axis has a direct scale and it's backless on motor 30 to 40 micron. how to compantated that value for resolve my problem? please needful for that...........

I think that you have a lateral play in the guideways instead of backlash. Please check the lateral play or make the test as close as you can for the center of the table.. Good luck Nit

Circularity is a culmination of all other small errors, find the greatest contributor and work on that first. Position control gains need to be set so the axes interpolate correctly also - reduce the gain on your worst mechanical axis to run smoothly and precisely, then drop all your other interpolating axis gains to suit.
