In STEP 7  (including TIA Portal V12, V13), we can compare new and old version of program with "Compare Blocks" by selecting multiple blocks.

Are there similar function in TIA portal　WinCC HMI?  

If  it is not, how WinCC experts check what portion of the project  are modified from previous version?

For example, I would like to  check which parts (which screens, scripts , HMI tags, HMI alarms, recipes  etc.)  and  which items (button , events, appearance, data tags, specific alarms, script lines etc.)  in HMI ( TO700 Comfort ) are modified.

I need it for change management when we check in the project source code to repository.

If these source code is text file, we can use tools like Winmarge.

Unfortunately all of the source code files for TIA portals  are binaries and is not possible to compare with these tools.

 I can compare big binary file of project (like PEData.plf, RtData.plf ),  but it have many changes even if the modification of source code is single line.

TIA Portal have comparator tool. Have a look at:STEP 7 Professional V13.0 under chapter "7.5.2.4 Using the compare editor".
