I am still confused with compatibility of standard WinCC Comfort V17 in TIA Portal and WinCC Unified V17 Comfort in TIA Portal. While it is clearly understood that both licenses are compatible but I found the picture in ST80 catalogue 2021 (Page 2/3 as attached) which does not show Unified Comfort Panel compatibility with Standard WinCC Comfort or Advanced or Professional software. As per the information stated on Page 18/72 (https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109768002), I understand that Unified Comfort Panels can only be programmed by WinCC Unified V16 or higher but at the same time both standard Comfort and Unified Comfort licenses are compatible which means a user having for example WinCC Comfort V17 does not need to buy WinCC Unified V17 Comfort to configure Unified Comfort Panels. If so, if there is a user having standard WinCC Comfort V17 license in possession and wants to use it for Unified Comfort Panel, does he/she have to add some add-on software that might be available in Siemens weblink for free so as to enable standard WinCC Comfort V17 to function as WinCC Unified V17 Comfort to program Unified Comfort Panel HMI? I also read in one Siemens HMI presentation that there is no PowerPack license to elevate WinCC Comfort -> WinCC Unified Comfort as licenses are already compatible. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ AttachmentExtract from ST80 2021 catalogue.pdf (453 Downloads) |

Yes. WinCC Unified is included in the standard intallation files for WinCC Basic/Comfort/Advanced you can download from below. V17 : https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109784440 V16: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109772803 During intallation you should mark the checkbox for WinCC Unified Engineering. Hope it helps. Br, Cocolino |
