Component Identification - Serial Number of Signal Modules

segan Posts: 60 Rating: (2)	I'm having a systemconsisting * 4 racks * 8 signal modules per rack I need toread the serial number of all the signal modules within the program. How can this be done?

This is about reading info of CPU, but I think you can use the same SFC51 for querying all modules. Just look in Step-7 help system for function SFC51.

segan Posts: 60 Rating: (2)	Hi Darius, I'm able toread the serial number of the CPU and MMC. Are you sure that the serial number of the signal modules, FM, IM, CP can be read in the same way? Have u tried it before?

segan Posts: 60 Rating: (2)	Atleast how can i get a confirmation that the serial number of signal modules or CP or IM or FM can be read? Have u heard from anyone abt any related details?? 'cause i'm able to read the MMC and CPU's serial number perfectly.
