Comunication between 6ES5095-8MD01 and 6ES7517-3AP00-0AB0

Dear folks, 

i need some help if possible. I have to establish profibus communication between one CPU 1517 and CPU S95U. Theoretically, S95 is DP slave and 1517 is a DP master, but i am not sure if works. I asked to Siemens Hot Line, but i could not have any confirmation.

The document shows the steps to connect a S5-95U to a Profibus master, namely a CP 342.5 in this case.

In your project you want to use a CM 1542-5 as a Profibus master. The steps shown in the document are the same, the gsd file for the S5-95U is the same, the parameters for the slave are the same. If you have doubts on the setup of the CM 1542-5, look at its manual:

The most difficult aspect of the configuration still remains: there are parameters to be set in Step 5, do you have acces to that programming software and the programming cable to connect to the S5-95U?
