varlux Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	I have a question about the comuncation blocks (S7 Comunication). What about "ID" and "R_ID" parameters? Are they Profibus address? MPI address? Are they simple indipendent words?

Those numbers are connection ID's... you can define multiple connections in NETPRO all running over one physical port. Open NETPRO, click your CPU (it lites up blue) now you get a list where you can define connections (below on screen). Click on a line and add a connection, a popup window helps you... there you also find the ID, something like W#16#1001 is the first default ID if i remember correctly. Hope this helps you in the right direction. Search the CP-help file for examples. regards, René

A very good overview on S7 communication can be found here: Communication with SIMATIC S7 On page 22 you get an overview of CPU-CPU communication via MPI and on page 42 you'll find CPU-CPU communication via PROFIBUS.
