Conect CP 342-5dp as a slave to Mster CPU -325 2pn-dp

In this project I have not established the communication between third party CP-342-5DP to our CPU 315-2PN DP. I connected the profibus link between CP342-5DP & CPU DP port. Required H.W configuration I have done but still communication not established. So how can connect the CP342-5dp to my CPU. Please give me the support on this. It’s very argent. Checked my H.W. Also. Detail of CP parameter as below. Third party send the 72 byte data & receive the 14 byte data.( AS per addr. List provided by Customer) Communication processor cp342-5dp DP address:12 Mode of operation: dp slave passive Baud rate: 1.5 MBit/s, Bus profile: std, highest profibus addr:126, Max data to transfer:250 byte. At the side of the CP342-5 CPU you have to programm the FC's DP_SEND and DP_RECV. Are they there? Good luck Sabine

The customer cp parameter is as below Communication processor cp342-5dp DP address:12 Mode of operation: dp slave passive Third party send the 72 byte data & receive the 14 byte data.( AS per addr. Listprovided by Customer) .......... Dear kiranPCT, In hardware configuration, you have to set the amount of data you want to communicate. So you would like to Receive 72 byte and Send 14 byte. But it looks there are only reserved 1 byte receive and 1 byte send. So you could double click on Universal module and change the amount of bytes. Best regards, Wizard

I have gone through all your attachment . for this I understand that both hard ware configuration required in one project. Am I right? In previously I configured only Master PLC configuration. May be that time I cannot connect CP-342-5DP to MY CPU 315-2PN DP.I will change the Configuration and check again. I known witch modules used in Slave System.(Third party). Hi, It is not necessary to have one project. The configuration of Inputs and Outputs is very important, to be the same in both projects. Best regards, Wizard

But still my problem is not salved.I have download the GSD file of CP-342-5DP. After downloading this file I access following path Additional Field Devices > I/O > SIMATIC. Before this path not shown in my PLC software. In this path CP-342-5 Cu Slave shown in hardware library. The GSD file type is SIEM80d6.GSD. I have only configured the Master system and add the CP342 5Dp on probibus network. Still SF & BF coming in my system. I cannot communicate third party Slave to my CPU. Please see the attachment of the error coming on plc. Same error came in every configuration. Means suppose I select the CP slave from following path in hardware Prfibus DP/Simatic/CP345-5DP in this type GSD file of CP-342-5DP is SIEM80d6.GSE. Also I configured Slave Station in my project. I select CP from Prfibus DP/configuration station. What is mean of CPU 342-5 Cu.? What's about the diagnostic of the slave? Still the same information than in your first post? Could you reach the CP online? Then you would be able to have a look at the diagnostic informations at the CP. There you will find information about the I/O Data of the slave. Good luck Sabine
