Conecting 315 2PN/DP with WinCC

aditzu Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have a 315 2PN/DP CPU and I try to connect it (via integrated PN port) with WinCC V6.0 SP3a.... it seems that is not working. On the PC I have onlyaordinary Ethernet card (which every PC has). From Simatic Manager I cancommunicate with theCPU (value forcing, dowloading, etc) but fromWinCC I see nothing.... Is it possibile to make this connection to work? If yes how? If no,which hardware/software do I need to instal?.... Thanks a lot.....

JMJ Posts: 487 Rating: (45)	When you configured communication channel, under S7 Protocol Suite, which Channel unit did you use? Industrial ethernet, TCP/IP or Named connection? What are your settings under channel unit configuration? If it is not a named connection, you need to configure system parameters of channel.

aditzu Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	Hi JMJ, Well, under S7 protocol suite, I use the TCP/IP connection. At the channel unit configuration I use the same configuration as in Simatic manager. I atacched the images... Maybe I need to do some other settings....I don't have deep knowledges for WinCC Attachment S7 HWConfig.JPG (102 Downloads)

JMJ Posts: 487 Rating: (45)	The configuration what you have done looks ok. But you also need to configure the "system paramater" for the channel unit so that WinCC knows which netwok card to use to get to the PLC. This is done by opeing system parameter dialog popup menu. See WinCC information system -> "How to Configure the System Parameters". Here the logica device you point to is used to access the PLC.
