Working with a 417-4 cpu

Simatic PCS7 V7.1 SP1

I will install a profibus card to communicate between our PLC and an other PLC.

I did install the GSD file into my hardware.

I have this interface list (see reg.jpg attachement).  In the interface list, I can read 

Send Data

Data length:                        120 Words (240 Byte = modul_64e + 64e + 64e + 32e + 10e + 2e + 2e + 2e) 

Receive Data

Data length:                        16 Words (32 Byte = modul_32a) 

I did add the modules in the same order that mention into the interfacelist I have. (see cardconfig.jpg)

Question :

How do I know it will read into the interfacelist as I want?  

Slot1 read DW1 to DW 32 (64 bytes, modul_64e)

Slot2 read DW32 to DW64 (64 bytes, modul_64e)

Slott3 read DW64 to DW96 (64 bytes, modul_64e)

Slot4 read DW96 to DW112 (32 bytes, modul_32e)

Slot5 read DW112 to DW117 (10 bytes, modul_10e)

Slott6 read DW118 (2 bytes, modul_32e)

Slot7 read DW119 (2 bytes, modul_64e)

Slot8 read DW120 (2 bytes, modul_64e)

Slot9 read DW1 to DW32 (32 bytes, modul_32a)

as far as I understand you want to connect a B&R CPU with a Siemens CPU 417-4 via Profibus.

You will read 240 Bytes of information from and send 32 Bytes to B&R.

The first 64 Bytes you read will start at address 220 and contains the bits of B&R as mapped in your pic. If I understand it right, address 283 will hold Byte 600 from B&R.

Then the next 64 Bytes will start at address 284. From 284 to 299 it will receive bits 3192 to 3576 as shown in mapping. Byte 300 to byte 347 will hold words 501 to 525 from B&R.

Bytes 348 to 411 will hold words 526 to 613 from B&R.

Bytes 170 to 201 will hlod words 614 to 629 from B&R.

Bytes 84 to 93 will hold words 673 to 677 from B&R.

Bytes 62 and 63 will hold word 678 from B&R.

Bytes 94 and 95 will hold word 679 from B&R.

Bytes 96 and 97 will hold word 680 from B&R.

For output your address 84 will be mapped to bits 701 to 708 in B&R and adresses 88 and 89 will be mapped to word 740 in B&R.

That is how I understand it from the information you have given. Why did you split adress area for receiving? I would normally prefer a connected address area (for example 300 to 539) so it can be read in one block.
