cricri1991 Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	Hello, I want to configure the 2 ethernet ports for X2 interface of the 315 2 DP/PN. I have two PLCs with that CPUs. In each PLC, I want a ethernet connection to the PC and a ethernet connection to the other PLC (the PLCs are connected each other by ethernet). But, when I want to make a connection In NetPro, I can't chose the port (X2 P1 or X2 P2), and only one connection is available. In the HW config, i have the right CPU and I see the 2 ethernet ports. How Can I make 2 connections (one by port) in the PN(X2) Interface ? Thank you

manmeet Gold Member Joined: 1/3/2006 Last visit: 2/19/2024 Posts: 726 Rating: (71)	Dear cricri, 315 2 PN/DP has only one onboard ethernet port and its called X2-P1, so I cant understant when you say I want to configure the 2 ethernet ports for X2 interface of the 315 2 DP/PN. Why dont you connect both the PLC to ethernet switch and then connect 2 PC's also to this ethernet switch. In this way both will get connected to both PLC. Regards, Manmeet.

The X2 interface contain 2 switched ethernet ports (X2 P1 and X2 P2). manmeet Gold Member Joined: 1/3/2006 Last visit: 2/19/2024 Posts: 726 Rating: (71)	Ok I got it Its6ES7 315-2EH14-0AB0 You wont get 2 ports in Profinet because these two ports only behave just as simple switch. There is no meaning for displaying these two as seperate ports in Netpro.

Select it. In new window you can see the two ports, but remember its for display pupose only. and does not play any role in configuration of the port. Attachment profinet.jpg (397 Downloads)
