Configuration S7 CPU315 2DP and CPU417-Ha via Y-Link and CP342-5

Farid Attar Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I wonder if you could help me to configure the S7 CPU315 2DP which is connected to CPU417-Ha via Y-Link and CP342-5. It's requireed that CPU315-2DP works as a Master module in order to connect to I/O Modules. Moreover CP342-5 should work as a Slave module. Best Regards. Farid Attar Email:F.attar@tam.co.ir

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (411)	Dear Farid Attar, at the first place I would say that the settings for the CP 342-5 are not fully right. While you are connected to the Y-Link you are not allowed to have the Token, therefore the setting for "Test, commissioning, routing" must be set to off (check the Screenshot I add with this post), not on like in your Project. Within the S7-300 Station you need the FC1 and FC2 from the SIMATIC NET Lib to get the DP Functions of the CP 342-5 working. Without these the data exchange will not work. If you need more information about the FC 1 and FC 2 (DP_SEND, DP_RECV) refer to the SIMATIC NET Manual PROFIBUS. On the S7-400 I see no reason to use any function. Your I/O is within the range you may reach by the use of simple Load and Transfer functions. I hope I could help you a bit to reach your goal. Best regards J_Bell
