CONFIGURING A SCALANCE X204-2

stamatis Posts: 17 Rating: (0)	Good afternoon. Tomorow i will use for the first time a scalance X204-2. The concept is to make a network consist of 3PLCs 3Monitors and 1Scada. The PLCs are CPU314 with a CP343-1 Lean. The question is do i have to configure the scalance or it is plug and play? Thanks for your help

Mako Posts: 43 Rating: (1)	As I know you don't need to cofigure anything but I recomend you at least to set the IP to the switch. Here is the Manual Industrial Ethernet Switches SCALANCE X-200 / XF-200 Operating Instructions I also recommend that you install and use the Primary Setup Tool for the setup of the swith., The PST is on the CD that came with the Switch.
