I am having trouble trying to configure a DP/PA link in TIA portal (Step 7 Pro Ver11 SP2).

I was trying to follow the instructions in the Siemens manual A5E00193841-17 (07/2011) page 122, but these refer to standalone Step 7, not TIA portal.

I can drag an IM 153-2 (6ES7153-2BA02-0XB0) from the hardware catalogue onto my Profibus master in the Network view, but I can not see any way of selecting the lower level master system for the PA?

Am I missing something??

I thing i was found method

At first you do not need to use AP/PA link ,you can use only DP/PA coupler(so you do not need to useIM 153-2)but be carfull you must reduce rate to 45.45k for Profibus DP.

Know to add DP/PA coupler you need to add GSD file for it and you can download it from link below.

After that you also need to add GSD file for PA device you want it.

 how do i hardware configuration  because of gsd can configure and dp link is avileble  but pa link is missing or no port avileble  for link other gsd divices. i want to be connected endress and hauser promag 50 pa flow meter

Have you already followed Mr. Pegaia's suggestion, in the link proposed in a preceding post?

Look also at our friend fritz' comments in the same thread, they should help you out. Everything turns on your capacity to generate a custom gsd file for your DP/PA link that will integrate the individual gsd files of all PA instruments in your PA network.
