This tip will help people that have problems with external tags in faceplates. I posted a question about using external tags on a faceplate because I had some troubles with it. Eventually I found the answer why I wasn't able to do this. Check my thread to see what it is that I'm talking about : /tf/WW/en/Posts/118551#top Here I'm gonna try to explain the exact problem and share my solution for it. I created a faceplate wich I wanted to use multiple times with the same external variables. But logically, I only wanted to configure the external tags once. So I made a faceplate, called this once in a screen and configured external tags. Then I just used copy paste for using this plate on other screens. When I did this I noticed that some of my external variables where changing wich I thought was weird. After some searching I found the problem. My external tags here where used to activate other screens so with the copy paste, these always got mixed up. This is because I created an "ActivateScreen" function at one event and then just used copy paste on the other events (see attached file). That is the source of my tip here: don't use copy paste one creating events in use of faceplates. I did this because it is faster, but this was te source of the problem. You will have to configure them one by one if you wanna copy paste the entire faceplate without having any problems with your external tags. I hope this tip will help other people to and I hope this explanation is good enough for you to understand. If you have any question regarding this subject, you can contact me. Greetings, The Duke.
