Confirmation Dialog for an I/O field in WinCC

I did it withMessageBox function from Windows API, but I don't know if this is the best solution, because I still have a problem. I alsoneed to store thisinAlarm Logging (as an event, not as an alarm), something like: "the user xxx has changed the limitL from A to B". And the problem, in this case, is that the system updates the value B which is the new value,only afterlogging it in Alarm Logging. So, I never havethe real value in B, but only the previous value.In mysource codeI checkif the user presses Yes (for confirmation)in the MessageBox, then: I put the right value in the process tag (B value), I put the previous value in an internal tag (A value) and I set a bit tag to trigger the event (for alarm logging). I guess the problem is because ofthe update cycles, but I don't know how to solve it.

Here are 2 ways that may help you:

1. Use SetTagXWait to set B value.
2. If it didn’t work, try this one:

· Don’t trigger the alarm in “yes” button script.

· Write an action in global script which triggered on B change.

· Set the bit tag to trigger the event (for alarm logging) in this script. In this way you can be sure that you have real data in A & B.

· You also need to reset the bit tag in appropriate time(for example in “yes” button script)
