Connect 3 STEP7 projects to WinCC Flex project

Oleh Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	Hallo all, thats my situation: in factory there are 3 product lines; each line controled by it's own PLC (so i have 3 S7 projects); PLCs connected to each other by TCP/IP; now customer wants to mount projector in factory, that must display product information from 3 lines in the same time; i have done WinCC Flex (2007) project for vizualization. question: how to communicate all that, so i can display information from 3 different PLCs in 1 WinnCC Flex window? Any information will be very helpful. Thank's

(attached picture) And in every of S7 projects i must connect the same WinCC project? how to upload existing WinCC Flex project to S7 project? i was doing this by: right click on project->insert->HMI station. but that creates new HMI project. As I understand it right, you have three stand alone projects for Step7. It would be nice to have 1 Step 7 project containing the three different CPU's and 1 Hmi project. You can not have 3 Step 7 projects containing the same HMI project. In that case you should make HMI project stand alone (not integrated) Best regards, Wizard

Hello, That's one solution. Your WinCC flex project will be integrated in Step 7 N1 project. Another solution is: Do not integrate WinCC flex project in Step 7. But make a Stand alone project with three connections to every CPU (N1, N2 and N3) Another solution is: Make a Step 7 Project X, containing 3x CPU (N1, N2 and N3) and 1x HMI flex project (with three connections) I would prefer the last solution if possible. Oleh Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	thanks for aswer and for ilustartions, it's very helpful. ok, i think i would try last solution for my project. couple more questions about last solution: is there way to include existing CPU with all configurations from one project to another (N2 Conf.jpg)? or i must create a new one in target project and configurate everything one more time? maybe you have some links about connection CPU to CPU (like in your 3.bmp attached file) by Ethernet? i found "CPU-CPU Communication with SIMATIC Controllers".pdf, but there's to much information. About the communication between two CPU's: Sample Program: S7 Communication with blocks FB14 ("GET") und FB15 ("PUT") of the CPU 317-2PN/DP how do you program communication blocks FB14 "GET" and FB15 "PUT" for data exchange in the S7 program of an S7-300 CPU? how do you program the communication blocks FB63 "TSEND", FB64 "TRCV", FB65 "TCON" and FB66 "TDISCON" in order to use the TCP protocol for data exchange by means of the integrated PROFINET interface of an S7-300 or S7-400 CPU? And ofcourse there are a lot of other possibilities. Best regards, Wizard

You don't need any PLC to PLC communication as long as you go with one WinCC project getting all info from all plcs. I have shoot a short video to show you how to copy all the PLC projects under one PLC project and create a WinCC Project which looks at all 3 plcs. I established connections by MPI/DP (MPI.jpeg attached), data goes directly to WinCC Flex RT. But I'm wandering, why in the NetPro i don't see MPI connection, only connection by Ethernet (NetPro.jpg)? Screens Attached) Attachment Screens.zip (198 Downloads)
