connect barcode scanner to WinCC Flexible RT

You also don`t need a script. The scanner acts like keyboard for example. If you set the focus at a io-field an scann a code, the code will be written in the io-field. best regards.

Is there a way to just send the barcode data directly to a tag without focuson anIO field? I would like to avoid focusing on an IO field, so thatthe operator could do other actions in parallel, since scanning is performed automatically.

I need the same trick to read bar codes without settingthe focus to an IO Field. I have searched for Windows API functions to read the USB ports, but couldn't find any usefull sample code yet.
