Hi to all, I need to connect my laptop to plc s7-300 cpu314, This PLC communicate with HMI smart 700 ie by ethernet at HMI end and one terminal on converter, I removed the Ethernet cable from HMI and connect to my laptop. But it is not working. How did I communicate with this ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Dear Sandeep, Can you elaborate more precisely about your system? Also please provide the clear picture of the converter? How you are trying to communicate? Which protocol and software you are using on your laptop to communicate with PLC? |

please specify what software you will use and what the protocol you will use , if you are now aware of this , you can use : simatic manager or TIA portal as software the communication protocol will be in PC/PG setting TCP/IP in case you are using MPI/TCP converter as shown in the picture . you can also use PC adapter to access the PLC PC/PG setting PC adapter MPI and rempve the converter from the PLC , may that help and explain to you some missing concepts if that helpful please rate |
