Hello, Most of the weighing equipment i worked with have no real ethernet communication but rs232 over tcp/ ip, according to this manualRice Lake is no exception. If you have model of the card you could search at Rice Lake site for more info or examples. Regards, Marcjan |

Dear Mr Marcjan, If i used Card Ethernet TCP/IP (weighing device) and the weighing can transfer data ASCII. Then the transfered data can be monitor by PC using Hyperterminal (TCP/IP Winsock). Is it possible to change the PC with "CP343-1 lean"? CP343-1 lean is set to TCP Connection then declare the IP address and port number of the weighing device. It is possible to do or not? I am sory. I have a limit knowledge about communication using CP343-1. Regards, Me |

Hello, it seems to be a TCP stream with the ASCII information. Please refer to this FAQ where you will find more information about creating TCP connecitons: Configuring a TCP connection via Ethernet (TCP native) between a SIMATIC S7 and a PC with Socket Interface but observe also this important FAQ: transferring data (with FC5 "AG_SEND" and FC6 "AG_RECV") with variable message lengths via the TCP protocol |
