connect sinamics s120 with MPI cable

mr.reza Posts: 94 Rating: (0)	Hello every body In our corrective line we have some kind of sinamics s120 with control unit cu310 and cu320 I have a Simatic field PG M3 so I can easily connect to project with Ethernet or pc adapter But when I want to connect to project with PG MPI/DP interface and MPI cable as soon as I connect the MPI socket to profibus connector one of control unit cu320 show fault F01910 My question is if it is possible to connect sinamics s120 with MPI cable Why we have this fault? thanks

Mike Goeman Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	If you are connecting on the profibus string make sure that "only master on the bus" is ticked off in the PG/PC interface settings. You can also connect to the drive on any access point on the string, as long as the adress in the project is set correctly. Also, did you try to reverse the cable? The cable I use only works in 1 way. (But I don't know if that's an MPI cable or not because I made it myself.
