Connect tags to Symbol Address (DB)

RuneK Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi, I'm looking for a way to connect the tags in FCs/FBs to Addresses in DB instead for Names. This way i can change the name of a symbol in the DB, without having to re-tag it in the FCs or FBs. Is this possible?

If you mean access the cells inside a data block without using symbols, that is absolute addressing.You can change the symbols while absolute addresses are unchanged.note, finding the absolute addresses for each cell in a DB is a bit difficult. update if it is not your case.

RuneK Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Well, it sounds like I have to tag everything from the start to get this working, which is not what i had i mind. This is simply to save some hours when renaming the symbols in the DB without inflicting the function of the program. So it will have to be a way to automaticly update FCs and FBs when changing symbol names in a DB.
