Hi everyone

I am trying to connect a S7-300 to a IPC 427d  over a profinet connection. To do this I am using the S7 protocol suite (the TCP/IP channel) and configuring the S3 in simatic manager. However I seem te be failing.

On the PLC side I use the TCON FB, which remains busy and returns 7002h as status.
I have configured the "CONNECT" input using the open communication wizard, and have also added a simatic pc station with a IE port to the subnet in NetPro.

I think the issue is that I am not using the correct TCP port. The only mention of port numbers in documentation seems to say that it has to be between 2000 and 5000 in this application.

Do any of you know a solution?

Why don´t you use just the S7 Protocol suite channel?

Just install Simatic Net on the WinCC V7.X RT System.

Then create the S7 Protocol suite in the WinCC Tag Management-> create an new TCPIP Connection wth the connection settings (Rack 0 Slot 2, IP Adress of the PLC or CP)

-> Then set the Access Point  at "System Parameters-> Unit" (rightklick at TCP/IP ) -> for example S7ONLINE-> And then set the S7ONLINE Access Point in the PGPC Setttings on the Runtime System in the Control Panel

On S7-.300 Side you have nothing to do

These settings yu have done in about 2 minutes and its the normal way of doing. The HMI handles the Connnection, not the PLC.
