Connect to S7 on MPI network through CP343-1 LEAN

IanNendels Regular Member Joined: 1/24/2008 Last visit: 2/28/2025 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I have a small MPI network with 2 S7-300 (314C-2DP) PLC's one of them has a CP 343-1 LEAN (6GK7 343-1CX10-0XE0 V2.0) If I connect my PC local on the MPI network, i can connect to both PLC's with the simatic manager. But when i connect through Ethernet i can only connect to 1 PLC (the one with the CP343-1) Is it possible to use the CP343-1 as a bridge to connect to the second PLC on the MPI network? Both PLC's are in the same Project, and if i look in the diagnostic buffer of the CP343-1 there are lots of entry's like this: EventID: 0xF9C1:0x432A / 0x00000000 No entry was found in the routing table for the remote subnet ID used. PLC1 has MPI adress 2 (the CP343-1 has MPI adress 3) PLC2 has MPI adress 5

You need to configure your network using NetPro, adding both PLC’s and a PG/PC station, when ready it should show all your connections points (MPI and Ethernet). Don’t forget to download the new configuration on both PLC’s! I hope this helps!
