Connect VLT5000 invertor to S7 PLC

Late Platinum Expert Joined: 1/7/2006 Last visit: 12/23/2024 Posts: 2705 Rating: (320)	Hi Mohammed, What do you have, a DP-port directly on the CPU or a CP card, and which S7-CPU is it? [:o] Normally you have to choose a PPO-typ and then can set the commands to the drive, if it is on the DP-port of the CPU itself then you can send the outputs directly. Look in the documentation of the drive for more information. If you have used a CP then you need the DP-SEND/DP-RECV and put the commands in a datablock that is transferred 1:1 to the outputs and the inputs are going 1:1 to another or the same datablock. [;)] Please be a little bit specific what you don't understand about the Profibus DP coupling with the drive. [:P]
