Hello guys, I have a configuration which I need to design in the hardware config... 1x S7-400 as master 6x S7-300 with CP modules 8x ET200M remote I/O The ET200m is connected through profibus to the S7-400. I'm a bit confused about the configuration of the S7-300 to S7-400. S7-300 hasits own DI/DO/AI/AO modules with a CPmodule. S7-300 is controllinga induvidual proces in the factory. So a total of 6 process is the factory and controlled by the S7-400. How should the S7-300 be connected? Can you tell me the steps which need to be taken?to connect CP to S7-400? |

Hello Sandor; You have to distinguish 2 possible setups: all the CPUs are already part of the same Step 7 project, or they have each a separate project of their own. These FAQs show how to connect a CP 342-5 as a DP slave, when their CPU S7-3xx are configured in the same project as the S7-400 master: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/6518937 http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/6519580 If the projects are independant, you will need to insert the CP 342-5 as slaves through their gsd files; try looking at this FAQ (second section): http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/15007089 Hope this helps, Daniel Chrtier |
