Connecting 125stations on PROFIBUS without repeater

shr4plc Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Hello: I Have 125 Stations on PROFIBUS Network. I want to connect them together without repeater . second questions is splitted to following thread Can I make CPU31× to work as Master for some station and work as Slave for another Master?.

I'm afraid this is not possible (well, it would be physically possible but unlikely to work). 32 is the maximum number of Devices per RS485 Segment, so you will need repeaters(or OLM's if you want to go down the fiber optic path) Anyway, the manual below contains a wealth of information about Profibus Networks andis a good starting/reference point for the design process: SIMATIC NET PROFIBUS Network Manual System Manual [schnippschnapp] I hope this helps
