Connecting a PLC ABB (AC 800M) and OP77B via Profibus DP

felixV Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello I have the gsd file for this OP77B (SIEM8107.GSD) I'm programming the panel operator ussing Wincc Flexible 2005. I made the conversion to the hwd file using theGSD Import Tool by ABB Industrial IT PLC. I conected the PLC and the OP via Profibus DP, but I don'tsee any conection. Please, Cansomebody help me to conecte this two devices? Thank you

[:P] Normally nowaydays you don't have a GSD-file for the Siemens-panels! [;)] I didn't find the ABB systems in the handbooks for the communication between the display(s) and the ABB PLC. [:(] Please read the 2nd manual carefully to check if you may use a ABB with this software WinCC Flexible. [:o] WinCC flexible Communication Part 1 WinCC flexible Communication Part 2

felixV Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello Actually: 1- I'd checked all the information for this kind of OP(OP77B) display.I did not see any information that can communicate with this kind of ABB PLC (AC 800M), but there is a GSD file (SIEM8107) by Siemens that can convert to HWD file and add to the PLC programm andconecte with this OP. I'm starting doing some tests but I have not yet communicate it. This two device should conecte via Profibus DP, it is my goal. Thank

felixV Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello The PLC can see the OP77B, it's means that the both devices can communicate via profibus DP. The Only things I can see is when I'd pressed the keyboard keys for example F1, F2, etc.each one send a value to the address I put in the PLC. Maybe it's what you said abot this GSD (siem8107.gsd)it's only for communicate the keyboard keys. Thanks

I don't know if WinCC Flex follow the same path, perhaps you can search around for this.
