Hi, like Symfairy wrote, you need SINAUT SC. It is necessary for manage the GPRS connections between the different remote stations. Of course, modem can connect to GPRS without a server. But then you can't have data exchange. So you need a central station (server) who manage this. The server also provides you all the transfered variables. So it is possible for you to watch and change them by using a OPC client (e.g. WinCC flexible). And for more comfort, you can visualize them. Concerning to the IP-addresses. Modem gets a unknown free dynamic IP-address from GPRS provider during connecting. Server has a known static IP address or a Domain through DynDNS. You have to parametrize modem with the known address or domain from server. So, server gets address from modem and can communicate. Also you can communicate between two modems via server, because only server knows the IP-addresses. Server also has to have a durable internet connection. The port, server uses, has to be opend in firewall and router. Mh, hope its little bit clearer so far. Best regards Robster |
