Connecting s7 ET200M station to S5 135U PLC via IM308

Is there any constraints where i should plug IM308C in the rack. Slot no 3,4,6,10,12,14,17and 18 in the main rack are free. What else than IM308C is required? I want MLFB no of followiing equipments compatible with IM308C a) IM 308C b) Eprom for IM308C c) Profibus connector for IM308C d) COMET software e) STEP5 software. f) IM 153

See in manual (page 120). In this manual you also can find further information about how to build Profibus system with IM308C. 1.IM 308C - MLFB: 6ES5308-3UC21 2. MEMORY CARD - See in manual page 322 3. Profibus connector - See in the same manual page 74 4. Simaticus Bronze Member Joined: 1/30/2007 Last visit: 6/3/2022 Posts: 262 Rating: (24)	Hi UMENCHO, please don't use any Com ET software; IM308C needs to be projected through COM ROFIBUS !!! You will have to download gse file to attach ET200M to a IM308C Profibus system. Good luck

And I don't want to see this kind of module. In other thread I said: ( Glad to say that I haven't this IM308B module.) So, you are right. IM308C is using COMPROFIBUS, IM308B is using COMET200. best regards
