Connecting SIMATIC HMI Panels with SIMATIC S7-300 (WinCC V13 and STEP 7 V5.5)

Hello guys,

I'm making a visualization for redundant system. PLC program is written in Step7 v5.5 SP4 for S7-300 using SWR library.

I have to establish connection beetwen PLC and HMI-TP1500 Comfort (6AV2 124-0QC02-0AX0).

I found some manual: Manual 37-400H and WinCC.

I tried to install a library in my WinCC (I have V13 Professional). But during opening a library I encountered a problem. The TIA Portal says I need to install WinCC Basic, but in WinCC Basic do not support my HMI.
Any solutions? How to make it work?

Can you make a screenshot from the Message you get?

I have download it and open in TIA WinCC V13.0 SP1, and work perfectly.

Have you TIA WinCC V13 or V13.0 SP1 , the library is for V13.0 SP1 and can't used with V13.0 without SP1!

yes the SP1 is missing.
You can download it and install, then you can use the library.
Why is ProSave V13.0 SP1 installed on the System ?

Yes i think you can use the S7-300 with TP1500 and this library , but you must update to V13 Sp1.

Hello guys,

I finally communicate a HMI with PLC, but it doesn't work properly. I followed the 3 Chapter of the manual, with some adaptions for profibus.

Friendly reminder: I'm using Profibus Interface to connect the PLC with touch panel.

1) When I start the machine, everything is fine. HMI get information from PLC and is sending them to the PLC. PLC_A is working, and PLC_B is standby.

2) I simulate broken of PLC_A (going to stop) PLC_B is working. Now the panel do not comunnicate with the PLC_B. No information are sending and receving. But the machine is working properly, and PLC progam is fulfilled.

When I switch of the communication processor - CP 342, then the communication with HMI start working.

3) When I start the machine from PLC_B and PLC_A is in standby, the communication with HMI is working.

I think the problem is with script, is written for PROFINET, i changed some parameters for PROFIBUS option, but I'm not sure if it enough. Changed the addresses, double checked it with hardware configuration in Step 5.5.

The script is also for S7-400H. I am not familiar with those kind of redundance. Here the clock of CPU is working even if the processor is in standby mode.

Any ideas?

I still didn't solve the problem. I read the instruction for fction "ChangeConnection" but it also didn't help. I tried to establish connection using Profinet, didn't help either.

I was watching the internal tags: trigger_PLC1 and trigger PLC 2, also clock. And the trigger PLC1 and clock is working. But when i stop PLC_A, clock stop changing and trigger_PLC1 stop changing. But the script didn't start counting.

I also tried to change connection beetween two PLC's using ChangeConnection fction and calling it via pressing button.

The HMI panel still working only with first PLC_A.
