Connecting to a ktp1200 basic

Good morning forum,

Im having some problems connecting to a device i have just recieved a ktp1200 basic.

I have it conected directly to my laptop with an ethnernet cable and it dosent detect it at all.

On the device im on the transfer screen and both the profinet and the usb lights are green.

Does anyone know whats wrong?

Try some other cable.

use edit ethernet node to detect mac address first.

are you able to ping the hmi ip.

 No, everything is fine thank you, what i ment with the last thing i said was that with some devices it let me connect automaticly without having to go into the settings of the device and change the ip manualy to find it on tiaportal. But saying that, my laptop has been known to be dificult with connecting to devices not only siemens but other brans as well.
