Hello!

I am having troubles communicating the OPC Scout with the OPC UA Server of the Process Historian.

• The OPC UA Server is running.
• The Process Historian is storing data correctly.
• In the OPC Scout, I can browse the variables of the OPC Server.

The problem is, I cant see the value of this variables. I cant drag & drop them in the view. 

The versions are:

• OPC Scout V10
• Process Historian 2014 SP2 Upd2 

I noticed that i can drag & drop and monitor variables whose NodeId is something like "i=3456" (or any number). Unfortunately, all the Process Historian tags that I am storing have a NodeId similar to "ns=3;b=LUbJqwZC5kWQ/KdsRfdARIAAAAAAAAA", and the OPC Scout does not let me drag & drop this kind of variable.

Has anyone faced the same problem? Does anyone know why this is happening?

EDIT: I have the same problem with third party OPC UA Clients. None of them can monitor the value of the Process Historian variables.

Hi,

identifier type "b" = base64string

I assume the OPC Scout can only interpret string (s) and numeric (i) identifiers.

I'd suggest to use Ua Expert
