I want to make a connection between S7-300 and Citect Scada 7.10r1. My project has MPI, Profibus, ethernet networks. Does anybody have experience? thanks |

Hello Niloo To begin with, I'd suggest you use Ethernet, this way you can use the standard Ethernet port in the PCan save yoursefl the money for an additional MPI/Proifbus card in the PC. If other systems needs access to the S7 PLCtoo, than Darius suggestion touse an OPC Server as the "middleware" is a suitable choice. If however you only need to link yourCitect SCADA to the S7, then your choice is between either Siemens Softnet OR Citect PSDirect as the "I/O driver" for the Citect <-> S7 link. Both cost money, both need to be set up/configured and both will dothejob. I hope this helps |
