Hi. I have tried to run my S7-1200 and MTP400 Unified panel setup, but I cannot set up any connection between them. It can be visible as an exclamation mark in orange triangle inside IO fields that require PLC-HMI connection and in the alarm window which shows "SYSTEM/HMI/DriverCommunication" fault. I created a new project, added both components, set up Profinet connection and then HMI connection was created automatcally for me. I disabled security download, any password protection in PLC and enabled PUT/GET checkbox. I also added administrator user in HMI. I created tags in both HMI and PLC and joined them in pairs. When I open my IO field I have them entered. Also I added formatting. I have them set as processing values. I have set th 18.0.0.3 version. PLC was "detected" automatically. It's 1214C if I recall correctly, but I'm not at work to check. IP addresses are set from the same network. One is 192.168.0.21 and the other is 192.168.0.23. Projects contain no errors while downloading. IO field and bar is wokring when I use them only on HMI inernally (I enter the values in HMI and then the value is shown on the bar). But when I want to send value from PLC, nothing works. I use TIA Portal v19 for both components. I have no idea what is going on. I have worked on Comfort Panels so far and I have never met similar issue. I don't know what is going on. AttachmentHMI-PLC Connection.zip (49 Downloads) |

Hi, You do not need to allow PUT/GET access, it would not be used by the HMI connection. Even if you have allowed non-secure communication, the HMI will attempt to establish a secure connection. To do this, the date and time settings of the HMI devices must match and be within the validity period of the certificate. Therefore, check the validity of your PLC communication certificate (PLC-1/Communication-1) and set the correct date and time for the PLC and WinCC Unified Basic Panel. Is there a reason why you are using device version V18.0.0.3? I would suggest updating the device version to V19.0.0.2 and installing the V19 Update 3 image. Kind regards |

Thanks a lot! This helped me. I applied PLC date from my PG and in HMI I set up it manually. First was 2012 and second 2023. As of the version, I started with that one and didn't change it. I will think of an update. Thanks for the links. Take care! |
