Hi. 

I have two CPU 416 working with PCS7 v7.1 and they are linked via s7-connection (TCP/IP) with option "unspecified station".

Can someone help me explaining about the selection option "connection resource". I've read the help but It's not clear for me how it works and how is the right way to configure it. Must I use in both CPU (local and partner) the same connection resource number , e.g. 10 (local) and 10 (partner) in both projects or must I use different numbers (12 and 13 as shown in atttached file)? I've already saw both situations working well.

the connection resource mustn´t be the same. It is describing what kind of connection it is.

connection resource-No. over 10(hex) means a bidirectional connection. you have to project the parnter too and the connection resource-no. has to match crosswise.
