Connector X321 Simodrive 611

Good afternoon forum,

Im going crazy because i cant find an electrical diagram on a simodrive 611 with the reference number 6sn1118-0bk11-0aa0

I have on this device the connectors X311 and X321 but all the manuals that i have seen so far have other connectors

I have a numeric control from fagor and its giving a feedback error from the X axis so i need to check the cable

Does anyone know where i can find this diagram?

This post should have publsihed in SIMODRIVE Converter system product conference since the MLFB number is of 611 drive control card.

From the MLFB number it is dual axis control card with resolver feedback with standard interface.

Please refer attached sheet for pin layout details of X311 & X321.

These are old drives, much earlier discountinued by Siemens & documentation is not available. So if you have any specific requirement, please let us know so either me or any other forum member can attach the same.

Moreover which Fagor make controller you have. In general with old analoge drive systems + Fagor controller, for axis feedback seperate/additional encoder is mounted on motor & it is interfaced to Fagor system. Motor direct encoder is interfaced to drive. There is no any digital bus communication of Fagor & Siemens drive.

So please check the cable between Fagor X axis feedback port & external/additional encoder/resolver.

The TOP X321 & X322 - terminal numbers 56 & 14 are 0.. +/- 10V analoge speed setpoints for 2 separate axes. 

Bottom terminal number 9 & 663 are pulse enable. 

Do you have electrical wiring connection diagram of the card? If yes, please attach so better terminal discription could be inform.

6SN1123-1AB00-0BA0 is dual axis power module configured to power X & Z axes motors in your case.

X AXIS

From Fagor X8 connector pin number 1 & 9, analog 0 to +/- 10 Volt is fed as set point to Siemens 6sn1118-0bk11-0aa0 control card connector X321 terminal 56 & 14. X331 terminal 9 is 24 V potential output for pulse & controller enable. X331 terminal 663 is pulse enable & X332 terminal 65.1 is controller enable.

Z AXIS

From Fagor X8 connector pin number 2 & 10, analog 0 to +/- 10 Volt is fed as set point to Siemens 6sn1118-0bk11-0aa0 control card connector X322 terminal 56 & 14. X331 terminal 9 is 24 V potential output controller enable. X332 terminal 65.2 is controller enable (2nd axis)

Please check X axis pulse enable & controller enable signals are healthy & with the set point value, motor should run. Also I suggest you to check the motor encoder cable continuty connected to Fagor X1 connector .

Thanks to your detailed description i realized that the axis module conector 9 wasnt giving out the 24V that it should so i have made a conection to an external 24v supply and now it works

Its nice to learn your problem is solved.

What I understood is, you have connected external +24V to pin 9. If it is true, I suggest you to check the control card as why +24 V (which is generated in internal power supply of card) in card is not available at pin 9? It may be because of failuer of any electronic component because of aging. I see this as symtom of card coponent aging effect which may lead failuer of card in future. So mean while you can prepare for spare or alternate solution in case the majour problem of control card emerges.
