Connention cable for CP5512

If you need to build it, simply make sure you connect the 3 RS-485 standard pins on syour Sub-D 9 pin connectors: 3-->3 8-->8 5-->5 For short distances, under 5 m, termination and shielding should not be an issue. For longer distances the Profibus cable and connectors would be a better solution. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, I would also, like Wizard said, strongly recommend to use a PROFIBUS Cable with PROFIBUS Plugs because as soon as you try to use higher Baudrates you will risk the Hardware you use. The use of a "simple" cable can lead to this point that the Nodes on the bus will be damaged. Best regards J_Bell
