Considerations to replace a SMC30

choguerrero Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Hi everyone, Which considerations should I have if I want to replace a SMC30? I got this error: 31885 : Encoder 1 DRIVE-CLiQ (CU): Cyclic data transfer error(Component number: 17, fault cause: 33) In the possible solution from the help, it says: - check the power supply voltage of the component involved. - carry out a POWER ON. - replace the component involved. The first two options are ok, so I change the SMC30 for another I have, but it looks like if the S120_CU320_2_DP does not recognize it. (RDY led is orange) Thanks,

choguerrero Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Correct, I also got a warning 1482 Topology: Comparison sensor module missing in the actual topology. But i do not why if the drive is configured in the project set, it is not "visible" in the actual topology tree of the s120_CU320 (See attachment) I also have the RDY led of the s120_cu320 blinking, which according with the manual it says, it is a boot error, but the memory card has already been inserted. it also suggest to change the card or the control unit, which is not possible for us. About which component wie talk , i think motor_7 or? An can you provide a screen with the complete topology on booth sides and set filter "only DRIVE-CLiQ"? have you check the DQ Port of the Motormodule , if the DQ Port is defective then the SMC is not detected here and can be reason for the error. You can try to connect the SMC to a free port of the CU to see if the new SMC works correctly. Have you only Fault 1482 or something other? Regards Christoph

Soni. Posts: 153 Rating: (7)	if it is blinking, it may be due to Firmware of New object (SMC30). U need to wait till it flashes continuously then u have to restore the power off/on. Please check the drive CLIQ or port u are using that might be problem. Or one more possibility u can do is change the priority of the object to minimum, if topology error is not removed

choguerrero Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Hi ChristophD, Yes, we are talking about motor_7, please find the screenshot in the attachment. and I also have another errors, not just the Fault 1482. In the attachment you can see the errors just before i switch on the sistem. Also if I run the machine, it runs for a couple of seconds, and then D445 goes to stop mode. errors are in the next post.
