contacts in parallel ( OR)

Just started Logo and tried to add two NO contacts in parallel with an output i.e. an OR but it was not permitted.

I read that this was not permitted?

How do I go about making an Or circuit?

Thanks guys. I was using ladder and I did try the configuration in the png sent but program will not accept it, hence my question. Probably better to use FBD

There are some basic principles to use LAD. The output of a contact may only be connected to the next input of a contact or to a coil in the line of the network. Never try to connect two outputs, then you get a fault message.

If you get problems to insert contacts in a line, then delete lines first, place new contact and make new connections in the same way as described.

LAD looks like wiring diagrams, therefore it is good for electricians. If you know the bugs, then LAD is not so bad to create clearly programs. The bugs are reduced in the last updates/upgrades, but some are remaining.

I prefer LAD in the company, because i get clearly programs without cross references. In FBD you need for every signal many lines across the diagram or cross references. In the meantime i have used FBD with UDF blocks to minimize cross references. After comparison of FBD and LAD with the same results i have checked, that LAD needs 30% less blocks. The problem is, that you need to complete all functions in a UDF and often you need some status information outside the UDF. For this you need additional blocks inside the UDF.

Maybe in a future version signals in FBD can be used as often as needed, then i try again to create clearly programs in FBD.
