control Balluff Smart Light with CPU 1214C

Now im trying to control Balluff Smart Light BNI IOL 802-000-Z036 which is connected to my module. In its manual is said, that to change modes of lightning, i have to send/change SPDU registers of the Smart Light. How can i do this? I tried to use WRREC function block but i get error saying that plc can find device with given ID. As ID i typed Hardware Indetifier which i found in device properties (in my case it was 279). Anybody have any hints? Is WRREC function block a good idea? Thanks in advance.

When you contacted the manufacturer of the product you are trying to integrate, what did Balluff's technical support say you needed to do? FYI, this is the Siemens forums. Once you get the answer on how you are to control or interact with the Balluff product line, we may be able to help further from the Siemens end.

I thought that if i specify precisely devices that i used it would be better to understand. I send an email before to balluff technical support and they said that i have to use specialy adapted for this purpose function block,appropriate for used PLC and by it send to defined IO link port config word defined in device manual. Thats why i asked for WRREC FB and errors that i get from it. Also I found that in newest (for sure in TIA Portal v13) is new FB IO_LINK. I use TIA v11 and i dont have this FB. So i kindly ask again, which FB should i use to send configuration word to distributed I/O? Is Hardware identifier good as an ID parameter in WRREC FB? When i put as ID hardware identifier, WRREC FB gives me error 8801 which means wrong syntax ID. RDREC gives 8090, which means invalid logical start adress

I´m wondering why they don´t know it. In attachment you will find a sample project and manual for TIA12, I´m not sure if all functions will be supported at TIA11. If not the problem can be the basic version of TIA11, with TIA 12 or 13 are more functions available." Therefore im asking, is it possible to configure my device using TIA11 update 3, where i dont have IO_Link_Call function block?
