Hello All,

Can someone explain how control card 6sn1118-0nh01-0aa1  detect in which power section is inserted?

I am using universal card 6sn1118-0nh01-0aa1 and Simocom V14 for test purposes, and have similar problem with many power sections. In fact. If these power sections are using with different  control card ,there is no problem.

For example - universal card is inserted in power section 6sn1124-1aa00-0ea1 mand there is alarm a039,2000h.Same power section work normally with 6sn1118-0dg23-0aa0  on the real machine.

And there is two question -

How control card detect power section,

Can I disable this automatic detection for test purproses ?

User must check the power module code & entered appropriate code number in P 1106 at first start up. This will deactivate auto identification. Please refer the attached sheet for power module code numbers.

Dear Sir,

Value in P1106 is enetered automatically when You start to configure drive with Simocom.

Later,when You open expert list, You can change value, but control card always check in which power section is inserted, and displays appropriate code in P1110.

If these values are different,error is generated.

Error code 039  0x200000  means - No power section type was identified, although it would have been possible

In this case,we have value entered in P1106,but nothing in P1100.

And my questions are about this case only.

Because -

That's why i try to understand how control card detects on which power section is inserted. This is very interesting for us,because-

Control card have not enable on terminal 64,this means there is no power supply for optrons inside,

We do not have 600 VDC on the DC bus.

This means,that it is not possible to measure gate current of the power modules for example,

The only way, i thing is to check resistors which is arround current sensing hybrid.

But,when we measure them,they look ok...

Strange is,that this same power section works with other type control card.

That's why is my second question..

You re right - i have a small company for cnc machines service, and part of my job is to identify, repair and test these power sections. 

Of course, this is not always possible, sometimes it is need to buy a new one
