Hello, I am trying to send tripping remote control order to Sepam S40 via the Modbus RTU communication link. Also I am using S7 1200 v4.1 PLC with CB 1241 RS485 to communicate with the Sepam. When I sent TC1 (Tripping, address word 00F0 = 1) nothing happens (normally open binary output 01 does not close). I successfully change setting groups A and B this way (TC3 and TC4, address word 00F0 = 4 and 8 respectively) and reseting (TC5). I can control the binary outputs to the switchgear with binary inputs, but I have to do it via Modbus. This is link to Sepam S40 manual Could someone help me? I know that this problem is not exactly for this forum. Best regards! |

SFT2841 is the configuration software. I tried both methods to send remote control orders - direct and confirmed SBO and both work as expected with TC3, TC4 and TC5. On the attached page there is block diagram which explains on what conditions the binary output O1 is triggered. Also TC1 can not be inhibited, so I don't know it doesn't trigger O1.

I found a solution. In order to use TC1 and TC2 "Circuit breaker control" function have to be activated. Thanks for the help! |
