Hello,

I am trying to send tripping remote control order to Sepam S40 via the Modbus RTU communication link. Also I am using S7 1200 v4.1 PLC with CB 1241 RS485 to communicate with the Sepam. When I sent TC1 (Tripping, address word 00F0 = 1) nothing happens (normally open binary output 01 does not close). I successfully change setting groups A and B this way (TC3 and TC4, address word 00F0 = 4 and 8 respectively) and reseting (TC5). I can control the binary outputs to the switchgear with binary inputs, but I have to do it via Modbus.

never worked but I'll be check first if there's not some secure system enabled for disabling set commands. Look to page 144 and check that, maybe via menu or cfg SW.

from that block it's clear that open order can be executed with TC1 with of course 200ms timeout. also negative signal is send to O11 (close) but only if MES114 is probably presented. Don't have device available, so sry with tests.

I found a solution. In order to use TC1 and TC2 "Circuit breaker control" function have to be activated.
