Hi, I need to convert a PCS 7 V 4.x system to V 7.x. Is there any standard software package which will directly convert the program code (Charts and SFCs)? I searched on the website and found out in the forum (link below) that the possible conversion path can be V4.x->V 5.x -> V 6.x ->V 7.x /tf/WW/en/Posts/30396 Please let me help from the tedious job of doing so. Hi Suyash, sorry I can't see link you posted, anyway you need convert from v4 to v5.1 or v5.2, then to v6 and finally to v7. I's tediuos I know, but you have to do that - from v4 to v5.x module driver concept changed and you have to reconnect all I/O drivers to I/O hardware manually - from v5.x to v6.1 database engine changed (from sybase to MSQL) - finally you can migrate to v7 here migration manual from v4 to v5.1
in PCS7 documentation v7 you can find all other manual exaplin step by step what you have to do. P.S.: be carefull with HW component, in PCS7 v7 documentation you can find "PCS7 - Released Modules" for version you are going to buy or here the link for v7.0 without SP
