Hey, I want to know if I can convert ohms value from PT-100(3-wired) to current or voltage through ladder logic diagram, if yes, then how? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Hi mahima_attri154, In the RTD modules of the S7-1200, where you connect a PT100, you get the value in Cº or Fº. In this section of the manual, the equivalence appears in the last table: I hope it helps |

You are hoping to use a normal analog card to read the PT-100. This is not recommended for industrial applications. You can consider getting a RTD to analog converter, if you have to. For an academical project you can consider building the converter yourself. Web search "RTD to analog converter" or something like it. For theoretical background, have a look at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resistance_thermometer. Especially focus on the one where a 3 wire device is mentioned. |
