Hi all, 

I have a machine with a stepper motor and drive from Schneider, references below:

• M 3447-6.3 SCHNEIDER Step Motor
• MICRO LYNX 7 MX-CS101-701 IMS / SCHNEIDER
  

Is it possible to communicate with this drive from a Siemens CPU ET200SP ? The drive has a serial RS232 connection. 

Also, what would be a Siemens version of this drive and motor system?

 Hi Erik_Cornelsen,

There is no inbuilt RS232 serial port on CPU. U will need additional PtP CP.

Hi, 

Agreed, in case of using the existing Drive and motor from Schneider, I thought about using the ET200SP CM PtP for serial communication RS232 with the drive (part number: 6ES7137-6AA00-0BA0).

What about replacing the Schneider Drive and stepper motor, what would be the Siemens parts ?
