Convert tool for diagnostic files --------------------------------------------------- We will in future download by a FTP client (.NET application) diagnostic files from the CF-Card (Simotion D4x5) to Windows XP whenever a serious problem happens (automatically). But some files need to be converted to read them. For example the File "DIAGBUFF.TXT" has error numbers which we need in clear text (german or english). You will see the Diag buffer with clear text. In the Diagnostics menu you are able to generate diagnostic files and store them on your PC. If you need all the SIMOTION Fault/alarm texts you can generate them in XML format. Use export OPC data with SCOUT (-> Option -> Export OPC data …) Select OPC alarm/event A XML file "OPC_AE.xml" with 4 languages will be generated with - User Messages via Alarm S/Q - Messages in Diagnostic Buffer - Alarm messages of the used TOs If you need the SIMOTION Faults/alarms in .xls or .csv format you can copy them from the SCOUT alarm configuration (look to the picture). The customer has a Windows button [Problem Report] and all needed logging files will be collected, zipped and sent to us by mail. Export alarms -------------------- I did not know how to export alle the system alarms to a file. Like that we could write a convert tool ourselfs. That helps. Thank you.
