Converting a TP270 10" Wincc 2008 SP5 to Portal

Colin Malcolm Joined: 10/11/2023 Last visit: 1/28/2025 Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi Folks, I'm trying to convert a TP270 to a Comfort Panel (WinCC 2008 to TIA Portal). I've tried a couple of versions and I am getting different fault messages, V13 SP1 Update 9- Source File Corrupt contact your local siemens support V14 Update 2 - Only Projects saved in the format of Wincc 2008 SP2 or SP3 can be migrated. V15.1 - The device is not supported in this version. Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks Colin

How do you migrate a project integrated in STEP 7 from WinCC flexible to WinCC (TIA Portal)? Migration Tool TIA Portal It is recommended that the TP270 panel should be migrated to the TP700 if it is the 6'' panel or to the TP900 if it is the 10'' panel.

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 4/17/2025 Posts: 15311 Rating: (1893)	Hello Colin Malcolm I would open and safe the WinCC flexible project in on of the newer Versions for example 2008 SP3/5 then if its integrated in a Step7 project, open it in WinCC flexible ans use the funktion to save the project -> copy from Step7 Then use TIA Portal V14 or older (since V15 you cannot migrate these kind of Panels). migrate only the copied WinCC flexible project. Then change the device to comfort Panel and then you can also use it in newer TIA Versions. (I migrated a lot of older Panels, also Protool to TIA and in most cases without much problems, so it should work) Bye Murof
