Converting OBs from S5 to S7

Hello everybody,

I working on S5 to S7 conversion project. There are certain OBs which are not able to get converted from S5 code to S7 code such as OB 22 and OB31.

Code written under OB 22 is:-

JU PB 100

JU PB 150

JU FB 30

NAME: RESETINT

REST: F 0.1

AN F 0.2

S F 0.2

BE

Same code is written in OB 21 which get converted in S7 program. After refering S5 manual I understood that both OB 21 and 22 are restart OB in S5 system which are supposed to get converted in OB 101. Is it right? Please confirm? We are running out of time and we have maintain quality also in our project. Waiting for your reply. Thanks for your help and co-operation in advance.

Split from OBs in S5 to S7 Conversion.

As per the S5 to S7 Conversion Manual :

The Startup OBs are converted as follows :

Manual complete (cold) restart - OB21 (S5-115U) or OB20 (from S5-135U) -> OB100 in S7

Manual (warm) restart - OB21 (from S5-135U) -> OB101 in S7

Automatic (warm) restart OB22 -> Also OB101 in S7

S7 CPUs do not have separate OBs for Manual / Automatic warm restart.
So you need to convert only OB 21 or OB 22 to OB101 and delete the second OB from the S5 project before converting

There are 3 startup OBs in STEP 7:

OB100 - Warm restart (for S7-300/400)

OB101 - Hot restart (for S7-400 only)

OB102 - Cold restart (for S7-400 only)

If you have an S7-300 CPU, you replace all startup OBs in the S5 with OB100.

If you have an S7-400 CPU, replace them one for one (Hot with OB101, Cold with OB102, Warm with OB100).

The different startup types are explained in the STEP 7 online help under the topic Appendix -> Operating Modes -> STARTUP mode.
