Heberto_hbo Posts: 16 Rating: (2)	Good day, I'm working with WINCC V11 SP1 and STEP V11 SP1 using WINCC runtime advanced V11 SP1 and S7-1200 1214C , I would like to check in my runtime application when the PLC is connected with the HMI, if it is possible I would like that the PLC program run only when the operator press an already configured "connect to PLC" button in the HMI screen and the PLC program will stops when a "Disconnecto to PLC" button is pressed, I already know how to do the logic for these buttons in the HMI and PLC logic, my main concern is regarding to Coordination and Area pointer configuration , how to read the life bit, status bit in the area pointer.... does anyone have an Idea on how to read these bits? I was reviewing the information in the help of WINCC but it doesn't have a single example about this, and just check in Wincc Flexible 2008 forum and found something but it doesn't explain how to read these bits and use the coordination area pointer functions. Thanks in advanced for your help, Best regards.

You can see a description and a project of this for WinCC flexible. If you have WinCC flexible 2008 SP2, then you can migrate this projectto WinCC V11. How can you visualize the current status of the CPU on a WinCC flexible operator panel? Tweety
