Could a MMC from IM 151-8 CPU be used within a CPU 313C?

Now I used same MMC card in CPU 313C. But I am not able to reset that MMC card. I have question, is it necessary to reset MMC in same CPU i.e IM 151-8 as it has system data of IM 151-8 CPU? Or can we reset any MMC in any CPU? Please calrify me this. Thanks, Shailesh

Anit Kumar Posts: 153 Rating: (2)	I also faced same issue then i found that MMC used in IM151-8pn/dp can not be used in other CPUs like 313c untill unless it is reseted in same cpu. one more....some people used write .s7img of fresh MMC. This also works

Normally when you plug it in S7-313 you should be able to reach this PLC via MPI and redownload new data. It should work. Other possibility is to put MMC into PG and delete its contents (do not format !!!!).
